Why do emails still say "in progress"?

Hi there,

 

I sent out an e-mail campaign this morning. However, the status still reads 'in progress'.How long does it take to send the mailing?

HI Franny,

 

Great question!

 

When an email initially bounces, or is returned as undeliverable, EmailNow tries multiple times over a 24 hour period to get your email delivered properly. The remaining addresses still in progress are probably addresses that we have tried to send to a couple times now but failed. Once 24 hours pass, if all attempts to those addresses have still failed, the system will consider them bounced and will move the mailing to "complete."
