2012 Talent Initiative Request for Proposals

From the Talent Initiative:

An opportunity for nonprofits: 2012 Talent Initiative Request for Proposals.  The RFP is due in just a few weeks and details a breakthrough approach to help innovative nonprofits address key issues of talent, leadership, diversity, management, training, culture, and strategic human capital.

Talent Initiative is an ideal solution for high-impact, mid-size ($2–50M) nonprofits that have defined plans for significant organizational growth and/or strategic change, and whose leaders recognize the pivotal role that human capital issues will play in determining the success of those plans.

As you may know, Commongood Careers developed Talent Initiative in 2009 to address the human capital management challenges experienced by many of its clients as well as other social entrepreneurs.  After a highly successful pilot, Talent Initiative found a permanent home this past summer with AchieveMission, a national nonprofit consulting firm similarly dedicated to strengthening nonprofits’ human capital management capabilities.

Talent Initiative clients and alumni now include 12 outstanding organizations: Root Capital, Rhode Island Foundation, Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), BUILD, Breakthrough Collaborative, Peer Health Exchange, Admission Possible, Corporation for Supportive Housing, Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), GreatSchools, Level Playing Field Institute, and Harlem RBI.

Through its focus on strengthening human capital management capabilities, Talent Initiative creates stronger leadership teams, better decision-making processes, more effective management systems, further aligned organizational cultures, and greater capacities for adaptation and growth – all hallmarks of high performing organizations.  Pilot participants have said that the half-year program was one of the most transformative capacity building opportunities that they have ever experienced.

We are now looking to attract the next 6-8 participants in the third cohort of this powerful program.  Please apply or let your colleagues know more about the program.  Proposals are due in just less than six weeks on February 29, 2012

We are hosting a series of webinars if you would like to speak with the consultants directly to learn more about the program.  Already scheduled dates include Feb 2nd from 2-3PM ET and Feb 13th from 1-2PM ET.  For additional information, or to RSVP for a webinar, click here.

Thank you in advance for helping us expand our work and allow more nonprofits to achieve their full potential for social impact!
